Information we collect

We collect information that you give us directly and information created while you use the product.

The main categories we handle today are:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, avatar, and the authentication state linked to your account.
  • Authentication details needed to support email and password sign-in, password reset, email verification, and Google sign-in.
  • Learner records such as lesson visits, review activity, practice completions, progress counters, subscription entitlements, and saved preferences.

Browser storage and preferences

Perapera uses browser storage, including cookies and localStorage, to keep the app working correctly and to preserve learner settings between visits.

If you block or clear browser storage, some sign-in and preference behavior may stop working until you sign in again or reset your settings.

  • Session and preference cookies used to keep you signed in, remember interface and translation language, and mirror preference state across reloads.
  • localStorage entries used to mirror learner preferences in the browser so the app can restore them quickly.
  • Locale and navigation context needed to keep public marketing pages in the language you selected.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and product usage on the public site and in the learner app.

We use this information to understand which parts of the product are useful, where users get stuck, and whether core flows are working.

  • Page-view events that help us understand which pages are being used.
  • Product events related to sign-in, learning activity, and billing flows.
  • Basic route and browser context that accompanies those analytics events.

Billing and payments

If you buy a paid product, billing is handled through Stripe. We do not store full payment card details inside this application.

We store the subscription and customer reference data we need to unlock the right course access, show billing state in the product, and support customer portal flows.

  • Stripe checkout and customer portal sessions when you start or manage a paid subscription.
  • Customer and subscription references returned from Stripe, such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, product references, plan references, and status data.
  • Billing-related account email information needed to associate the right learner with the right subscription.

How we use information

We use personal information to create and secure your account, sign you in, show your learner progress, save your preferences, provide customer support, operate subscriptions, and improve the product.

We may also use this information to detect misuse, investigate reliability issues, protect the service, and understand how the product is performing.

Service providers and infrastructure

We use service providers to operate Perapera. They only receive the information reasonably needed to perform their role for us.

We may update our provider list over time as the product changes.

  • Authentication and identity providers that support account sign-in, including Google when you choose Google sign-in.
  • Analytics providers, including Google Analytics.
  • Billing providers, including Stripe for checkout, subscription management, and customer portal flows.
  • Hosting, storage, database, and operational infrastructure providers that help us run the product.

Retention

We keep account records, learner progress, preferences, and billing reference data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-handling reasons.

Browser-stored preference copies remain on your device until they expire, are overwritten, or you clear them.

Your choices

You can update some profile details and learner preferences inside the product. You can also sign out and clear cookies or localStorage in your browser.
